Preparing papers for volume 1
Volume 1 of the proceedings will include all accepted full papers, and also a small number of short papers exlicitly accepted for publication in volume 1. To prepare the camera-ready copy, please follow the detailed instructions below:
- Print and complete the contributor agreement. You must obtain the permission of ALL authors, sign it and send it off to the address stated on the agreement form. If we do not receive this, your paper cannot be included in the proceedings.
- The accepted version of your paper should be formatted according to the instructions for volume 1 camera-ready copy and uploaded to http://precisionconference.com/~hci by 5th June 2006. Use the login details from your original submission. (The instructions may say that submission is by email - please ignore that, submission is via website upload only)
- When reformatting a short paper for publication in volume 1 of the proceedings, it is likely that the paper will become around 8 pages long. However, if after reformatting it is
more than 10 pages long, please revise it so it does not exceed 10 pages.
- If you use Word and your Word document contains images, please note that your submission MUST also be accompanied by the original images that were imported into the Word document. These original images should have a resolution of at least 600x600 pixels to allow good print reproduction. Combine all files into a single zip archive for the upload.
- If you use LaTeX, combine the source plus all non-standard macros, their BibTeX source and the source of any images or diagrams into a single zip archive for the upload. There are guidelines for preparation at http://www.winder.org.uk/HCI2006.html.
- At least one author for each paper must register for the conference
no later than 23rd June 2006, or the paper will be withdrawn from the programme. Authors registering by this date automatically qualify for the early bird discount.
If you have any queries or difficulties regarding revisions to your paper, please do not hesitate to contact one of the technical co-chairs. If you have questions about the formatting, contact Russel Winder (russel@winder.org.uk)
Volume 2 of the proceedings will include all accepted submissions not published in volume 1 (see below for details). If you intend to submit a paper or proposal for publication in Volume 2, please follow the instructions below:
- Download both documents:
> an Adobe PDF file with full formatting instructions, and
> a formatting template in Microsoft Word format (.doc)
These are the same instructions as for the original submission. Note that although the formatting instructions mention Latex and Html submissions, these are not acceptable formats for HCI2006.
- Having taken into consideration the reviewers' comments, upload the final version of your paper to http://precisionconference.com/~hci by 5th June 2006. Use the login details from your original submission.
(NB: Tutorial and Workshop presenters should not upload their paper, but send it to the relevant category chairs instead)
- At least one author for each paper must register for the conference
no later than 21st July 2006, or the paper will be withdrawn from the programme. Authors registering by this date automatically qualify for the early bird discount.
If you have any queries or difficulties regarding revisions to your paper, please do not hesitate to contact the relevant category chairs (who are they?). If you have questions about the formatting, contact Bob Fields (b.fields@mdx.ac.uk)
