Mailing List Service
The Interaction mailing list service is used for announcements of relevant UK and international conferences, workshops, jobs, events and other resources of interest to the HCI community. It is hosted by the JISCMail National Academic Mailing List Service. This is one of the key ways to communicate with the international HCI community. The service is moderated in order to ensure the highest quality service - no junk mail or bombed out formatting to pad your mailbox! The service is offered completely FREE, although please take some time out to look at the benefits of joining the group.
To get a feel for the content and the quality of the E-News Service, browse the searchable archives on the service's home page - it's the regular HCI news-feed you can't do without!
All submissions to, or queries about the mailing list service should be sent to:
bcs-hci-request@jiscmail.ac.uk.
SUBSCRIBING
To subscribe, simply send the following one line message body, with your names filled in appropriately, to: jiscmail@jiscmail.ac.uk.
join bcs-hci your_first_name your_last_name
If you cannnot easily stop an automatic signature from being appended to your emails, you can tell the JISCMail server to ignore all subsequent text in your message by adding the line:
--
For example:
join bcs-hci Goran Ivanisevic
--
You should then receive a message asking you to confirm that you wish to subscribe, and on confirmation you will be added to the list.
UNSUBSCRIBING
To leave the mail list send a message to the JISCMail server: jiscmail@jiscmail.ac.uk with the one line body:
leave bcs-hci
The server will use the source email address as the address to remove. If you cannot use the subscribed email account to send this message then you will need to contact the list owner.
