HCI content:

8 taught modules, of which four have a focus on user and customer-centred approaches, but the main module in this area in Multimedia Systems Design.

By the end of this module students will be able to:

  1. Understand, describe, and discuss the principles and techniques of effective human-computer interaction for interactive multimedia applications;
  2. Design a usable human-computer interface according to appropriate principles, using appropriate tools and techniques.
  3. Be able to use and combine different interface components and media in an interface to good effect.
  4. Evaluate human-computer interfaces.
  5. Identify future trends in human-computer interfaces
